I will always aim to treat you with kindness, respect and focus. Coaching is about you and your goals, and I will always put that first in our sessions. I will treat you in an open and non-judgemental way, not imposing my own ideas, values or experience on you.
I will not disclose anything about the fact that we are meeting or anything you say to anyone without your permission, unless to withhold information would be unlawful or in breach of my ethical obligations (for example to prevent a serious crime).
You own the process of coaching, so you are free at any time to raise a question about how it’s going; to request a change of focus, approach or practicalities; or to withdraw without having to explain. I am committed to continually learning and improving my work, so I ask that all coachees provide brief feedback at times during our relationship. This will never be onerous.
Code of ethics
I adhere to the Global Code of Ethics for coaches, mentors and supervisors, which promotes the highest standards of professionalism. In particular it emphases the duty of confidentiality and the requirement to serve the client’s best interests in an open and non-judgemental way. Read more here.
